Scope of Practice
A Certified General Appraiser may appraise all types of real property without regard to complexity or transaction value.
Requirements
To become a Certified General Appraiser, applicants must pass a background check; satisfy education requirements; satisfy appraisal experience requirements; and pass the National Certified General Real Property examination.
Renew Your Certified General Appraiser
As a Certified General Appraiser, you must renew your license every two years. A renewal notice will be sent out about 90 days before your expiration date. You may renew your license up to six months after the expiration date. After six months, you may apply for reinstatement of your license.
