Public Information Request
The Texas Public Information Act was adopted to give the public greater access to information about how the state conducts the public's business. Any person can request public records and an officer or agency may not ask why it’s requested.
Steps for submitting a public information request
Public information requests are required to be submitted in writing. We have created a public information request form for your convenience. However, you are not required to use that form.
- Please make sure that you include a detailed description about the information you are requesting
- Send your request to the agency’s Public Information Officer.
- We may need to contact you to clarify your request to make sure we provide you with the information appropriate to your request.
