Agency Strategic Plan 2025-2029
The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) and the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB) have prepared, approved, and submitted a unified strategic plan. The purpose of the plan is to provide the public insights on the vision for the agency and the direction it is heading.
Agency Self-Evaluation Report
The Self-Evaluation Report is a component of the Sunset review process, and it includes information about the agency’s history, operations, and program functions as well as an identification of policy issues that merit consideration.
2016 License Holder Survey Report
Almost 7,000 license holders provided responses to 50 questions about their characteristics, practices, results and attitudes. This survey offers insights into the current profile of real estate practitioners. The survey will be updated every four years for comparison and trend analysis.
2019 Appraiser and AMC Survey Report
The University of Houston's Hobby School of Public Affairs has reported the results of a major appraisal fee survey. The survey and report were commissioned by the Texas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board and updates a 2012 survey required by House Bill 1146 in the 82nd legislative session.
